Scott Beech joined Blue North Strategies in October 2004 as a management consultant and business analyst. Scott's background in economics and finance, combined with his analytical skills honed during his years in the high-tech industry, were an ideal match for Blue North's focus on data-driven communications across various media.
After completing a computer science degree, Scott started working in 1988 as a software design engineer and later as a development lead at Microsoft Corp. in Redmond, WA. During his six years with the software giant, Scott gained experience in project development, team leadership, and product envisioning.
After completing a graduate degree (MA in Economics & Finance) and working as a freelance consultant, Scott shifted gears and began working on international economic development with Mennonite Economic Development Associates. Here, he acquired extensive knowledge around strategic and financial analysis of a wide array of business ventures.
Scott brings to Blue North clients an analytical eye combined with practical experience. Equipped with a thorough understanding of organizational dynamics, he is able to help clients analyze business processes and manage organizational change, especially as it relates to implementing personalized communications.
Scott lives in Waterloo, Ontario, with his wife, Cindy, and their three boys and one girl, all aged under 12. He is a board member of Conrad Grebel University College.
