Summary of the role

The role is a detail-oriented, independent, and organized individual who will review and assess the ongoing quality of variable marketing materials for both print and online.

This role is responsible for the review of design, print, copy, and data files to ensure quality standards are upheld and all edits are promptly addressed. Being a guru in any one of these areas is not a must, however, an understanding of print production is key to evaluating quality of Direct Mail components.

To be successful you will need to be a collaborative team player. You have a demonstrated professional track record as a trusted ‘eagle eye’ for evaluating quality across multiple formats – from proofreading copy, to digging into data files, to giving printer proofs a final review.

This role also supports daily administrative tasks including processing task assignments across multiple departments. The QA Specialist will also monitor, track, and report on QA metrics that in-turn support process improvement projects and initiatives.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Review copy/design files for errors and adherence to client brand standards and specifications
  • Review data files including spreadsheets or other data formats as required
  • Uphold both industry and client-specific standards for quality of copy and design
  • Communicate with Project Managers and other Project Team members when information is required
  • Monitor and report on QA issues and feedback received from other stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:

  • University Degree or College Diploma
  • 1-2 years’ experience with Direct Mail, Print Production, Communications, Design, or related
  • 1-2 years’ experience proofing design and copy components for print and online marketing materials
  • Experience with MS Office, including MS Excel for data review
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, and Creative Cloud Shared Server
  • Familiar with Virtual Team collaborative tools including MS Teams and Zoom
  • Exceptional attention to detail, passionate about ensuring quality of marketing materials
  • Organized, takes ownership, and prioritizes assignments to meet deadlines as assigned
  • Able to learn, absorb, and apply new direction and learnings quickly and efficiently
  • Maintains a high degree of focus on quality in a high-volume, fast-paced production environment
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written) and is knowledgeable about grammar
  • Self-starter who can promptly respond and support urgent requests while remaining composed
