About the role

Reporting to the Data Services Manager, the Database Systems Analyst is responsible for writing queries, buildings dashboards and developing analytical reports for our clients and internal stakeholders. This role works with our business partners and data team to ensure data load and presentation methods are fully optimized and conform to best practices. Working directly with stakeholders, the successful incumbent will understand the business use-cases of various reports and dashboards and will document business level reporting and metrics requirements.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Assist in the discovery cycle for onboarding new customers and the ingesting and cleansing of customer data
• Evolve our analytics and campaign technology solutions into consistent and repeatable offerings
• Assess the technical feasibility of newly created product ideas and propose solutions throughout the discovery, design and development life cycle
• Ensure data quality and data requirements are embedded in and adhered to within data team deliverables
• Collaborate with business and data team partners to elicit data requirements, and articulate those requirements so that they are easily understood by team members
• Work with the business units to identify opportunities to standardize and streamline the flow of data and reports
• Develop and evolve a deep understanding of how our business and market works, and how technology relates to business needs and goals

You bring to the role:

• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role developing analytics, queries, dashboards and other reporting systems
• Excellent SQL and Transact-SQL skills
• Experience with Microsoft SSMS, SSAS considered an asset
• Excellent organizational, leadership, analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and simplify complex situations for stakeholders
• Excellent organizational skills with a proven track record of managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
