Project Manager – Fundraising Missions Clients

About the role

Blue North Missions clients are part of a syndicated program where multiple city mission groups participate in one common fundraising program.

Reporting to the Director of Delivery, the Missions Project Manager manages the overall program and individual client needs. This role oversees all aspects of the Missions appeal calendar and production schedule, executes on the project deliverables to produce high quality products in a timely, cost-effective manner and works within established guidelines to ensure work is completed according to customer specifications.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Oversee the planning, budgeting, managing and execution across multiple client groups to accomplish their fundraising goals and produce high quality products on time and within budget
  • Create the appeal calendar to meet the unique print and data requirements for Missions clients
  • Monitor progress and budgets to provide regular status updates and reports to Director and other key stakeholders
  • Anticipate and proactively communicate deviations from the plan as well as potential issues and risks; take appropriate correction action when necessary
  • Work with team members to create timelines and schedules, use appropriate tools to manage team and tasks, plan activities and negotiate consensus on the appointed tasks
  • Ensure Quality Assurance of projects including QA of data and composition
  • Manage internal data processes and data outputs for all direct marketing activities
  • Maintain monthly billing projections, cross-reference against actual costs and assist in the preparation of monthly invoices for clients
  • Provide recommendations for improvements and develop efficiencies wherever possible

You bring to the role:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role ideally within an agency or fundraising environment
  • High proficiency with project management tools including Workamajig and Basecamp
  • Strong understanding of relevant project management methodologies, processes and standards to monitor and ensure compliance
  • Experience working on print projects is considered an asset
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven and detail-oriented environment
  • Highly motivated with a high level of initiative to work independently and solve problems creatively
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work with a variety of creative professionals
